Did you meet the biest on the Island?

Here our prerace podcast from Friday Oct. 10, 2008. We have been at the bike check-in by the pier in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The aim of our stay was to spread the biest on the Island, I think we succeeded to do so. This will be one of our last reports from the Island. We keep you posted.

Gesamtrang. Hier ein kurzes Statement vom überglücklichen Daniel.

Ironman Hawaii, 2008: How do athletes know that they are feeling good for the race?

Yesterday our bietmilch podcast team was again on tour in Kailua-Kona. They were asking athletes a question that may sound easy to you, but definitely is not. For athltetes it so detrimental to know, when they really feel good, because only then you can adjust your training adequately. As you can hear from the replies it is a tricky thing t assess your own body’s condition.

What would be your message in the bottle?

Our podcast team Herwig and Thomas have been on the way in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. What message would like to pass to the world or to the athletes racing on Saturday?

Chris McCormack and Nicole Leder in: »The message in the bottle«

Last year Nicole and Chris acted in »the last booster on the island«. This was a way out activity because none of our stuff had arrived on Big Island. So, we had to cancel our launch activities. This year everything is very different. Tees, swim caps, biestmilch everything came here in time. This gave us the possibility to catch up this year. Last week we met with Nicole, Chris, Meike, Frank and Daniel on the beach to do some filming. Below the result of our get- together.

Last year we dedicated the last booster to the gods of the Island, and symbolically threw a bottle with a message for them into the ocean. This time the guys discover a bottle with message swimming in the ocean wondering whether this could be last year’s message in the bottle. It was not, of course.

Swim Caps on a bus ride ;-)

On Sunday morning we have been accompanying a group of athletes to Hawi. Every year Hannes carries hundreds of them with buses to Hawi, the turning point of the race course. From there they ride back on their sophisticated bikes to get the touch and feel of this extremely windy course. Some of them overreach, this pays back on race day.

Thanks to the guys who were ready to contribute to our short video clip. We had fun, and the result is fun too.

Occasion: Ironman world championship, Hawaii

IRONMAN world championship, Hawaii: Race week has started

Today we began our activities by the Pier at Kailua-Kona. It is the place where almost all the athletes meet in the morning for swimming. Here we launch our biest ya’ body contest. First part today was distributing swim caps and tattoos. Tomorrow there will be tattoos again and swim caps, and tees for those how come wearing a tattoo. We are curious to see what happens.

Yesterday we have been shooting on the highway from Kailua-Kona to Hawi. The highways was crowded with cyclists trying to get the touch and feel of the course. That you may get an impression watch the short clip. We thank Hannes for donating his voice ;-). A great deal of our activities focus on the biest//booster.
