These days the discussion about exercise in hot and humid conditions is prevailing. This video shows how hard it can be to coordinate the movements of your body once your brain doesn´t work adequate any more.
Chris McCormack (Number 2) doesn´t like racing in hot and humid conditions as well and therefore he´s racing in good old Germany at the Ironman European Championships and not in Beijing at the Olympics:-).
He has a very good pacemaker in his brain if you look at his tactics in the wildflower race.
The grade of fatigue you can see in the video above (Olympics 1984) is as high as it cannot be simulated while testing athletes under controlled conditions as mentioned by Ross, author of the THE SCIENCE OF SPORT Blog.
