The key question of sport sciences is the one concerning fatigue. What are the factors that limit performance?
The Science of Sport Blog discusses the different viewpoints (peripheral model, central model, etc.) and gives a very nice introduction to the problems that occur in each of the models. Mr. Noakes is one of the most innovative scientists in this field and developed the pacemaker model. He pays a lot of attention to the brain concerning the power output of the body. Biestmilch´s SEVEN already looked at this interesting model one year ago and a nice article can be found on our website. Let´s open our minds and maybe one day we´ll find a complex model that can really explain fatigue!

Hallo Moritz, I thank you very much for your moral support. I think it is worthwile to spread these aspects about the limits put to our performance. Fatigue protects us like pain does, at least to my opinion. Only pain is better explored than fatigue as it induces a much louder outcry than the silence fatigue. We know about the disastrous mutilating sequelae of the fact, if people feel no pain.
