Since a few weeks BIESTMILCH’s Seven popped up within the small biestmilch world. Those you come here on a regular basis may have noticed. Biestmilch starts to gang up. We founded a company called Biestmilch’s Seven. In the beginning it was just a name, reflecting an idea and a spirit, inspired by Ocean’s Eleven and their morals. Later on it became real, namely, that we turned out to be a group of seven at the end, by chance or by destiny? Future will show.
The »Seven« is very special. There is a lot to say about this figure. The data is overwhelming, have a look on wikipedia, it is unbelievable. I have to give in, the topic is huge.
Only have in mind the seven days of the week, the seven hills of Rome, the seven sages, seven liberal arts, seven against Thebes …
Or:
The Seven Virtues: Chastity, Moderation, Liberality, Charity, Meekness, Zeal, and Humility. The Seven deadly sins, the seven Sacraments in the Roman Catholic Church. In the New Testament in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus says to Peter to forgive seventy times seven times. Seven times Cain will be avenged by God if he is murdered.
In Roman Catholicism, and some reformed traditions, the Blessed Virgin Mary has Seven Joys: The Incarnation, the Visitation, Nativity, the Visit of the Magi, the Finding of Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem, Resurrection of Christ, and The Assumption of Mary.
In Gospel of Luke Jesus is 77th in a direct line. The Isrealites title circled Jericho for 7 days and then the wall tumbled down.
Around Christmas it is obvious why we focus on the significance of Seven for our Christian culture, but there is much more, the Seven is also relevant in Islam, in Hinduism, astronomy or mathematics.
We picked the Seven for various reasons. BIESTMILCH’s SEVEN will become more seizable to you over time. You will hear soon more from the Seven, the magic Seven ;-)…
